Ember & Oak is a concept wood-fire restaurant we designed to show how we plan a restaurant website: atmosphere from the first screen, a menu that is easy to update and a table booked in a few taps. Designed for WordPress and ready to build in Elementor.

The challenge
Menus in PDFs, bookings by phone.
Many restaurants still post menus as PDFs and take bookings only by phone, which is awkward on a mobile and loses guests outside opening hours. Owners also change dishes and events often, and shouldn’t need a developer to do it.
- Capture the atmosphere of the room from the first screen.
- Publish a digital menu with dietary labels that staff can update in minutes.
- Let guests book a table online by party size, date and time.
The approach
Lead with the fire, end with a booking.
The homepage moves from a full-screen hero and opening hours to the story, signature dishes, the chef’s tasting menu, private dining and events, press and reviews, and a reservation call to action. The digital menu and table booking are pages of their own, so they work well on a phone.
Dark charcoal with ember and sand tones, Playfair Display headings and Jost body text echo the wood-fire kitchen.
